A man I painted with recently was deaf, so I had to write notes to communicate. The staff confirmed that he was deaf. After several pages of writing him questions and him making verbal responses- I noticed all of a sudden that he was hearing me! I put away my paper and pencil and carried on a conversation with the man without raising my voice or writing notes. My only explanation is that it was God at work!
